Quarterly Reset
Something we like to do in tandem with our Quarterly Review is a Quaterly Reset. We use this re-set as a way to refresh ourselves and start the new quarter with a clear and open mind. We like to do the Reset after we have completed the Quarterly Review.
Our reset is about setting ourselves up in the best way possible for this next quarter so that we have clarity + a refreshed mind and body.
There are many different types of rest, so please take some time to think about what you need to prioritize in order to set yourself up in the best way possible for this next quarter.
We like to pick 1-2 activities from a few of the following categories: Physical, Sensory, Emotional, Spiritual, Mental, Creative, and Social.
It’s important to note which areas you feel particularly tired in and which areas you feel you may be lacking in your life right now.
Rest is not just the absence of doing something, it can also be the addition of doing something you love. For example, while being tired all the time could be an indication that you are not getting enough sleep, it could also be an indication that you're not doing enough things that you love that bring you energy.
With that in mind please go through the following questions to get a gauge of how you are feeling and where you are at this moment. We like to use our journal section in our digital planner for the following prompts.
Self-Check In
How am I feeling right now?
How does my body feel? How does my mind feel? How do my emotions feel? (name what the emotions and feelings that are present for you)
How have I been doing on sleep, regular meals, and consistent hydration?
What has been occupying my mind as of late?
What’s something I would do if I had 1 hour of uninterrupted time?
Once you’ve answered these 5 questions, use your answers as a guide to picking 3 categories to focus your reset on.
